The annual ‘Insights Conference’ of the Direct Marketing Association of South Arica (DMASA) will be hosted virtually on 25 March 2021 and it is free to attend.

That is according to DMASA CEO David Dickens who says the new virtual format represents an opportunity to expand the reach of this annual fixture of the direct and integrated marketing industry since 2017.

“We expect a doubling of the usual 100-person attendance thanks to the new, more convenient format and this year’s stellar speaker line-up,” says Mr. Dickens.

The theme this year for the event hosted by Southern Africa’s most established and well-regarded direct and integrated marketing industry association is ‘Resilience and Reinovation’ which speaks to marketing in the new Coronavirus-impacted reality.

Topping the bill is international speaker Didier Farge who is CEO, President and Co-Founder of Conexance. Joining the virtual gathering from Paris, Mr. Farge is passionate about relationship marketing and customer knowledge. He is an awarded entrepreneur, and his industry leadership roles include being President of the Strategic Committee of the French Data and Marketing Association, SNCD.

Local speakers Candice Goodman, Managing Director of Mobitainment; Stefan Oberholzer, CEO of Weavind Online; Nicole Glover, Assegai Awards Young Direct Marketer of the Year 2020; and Keeno Johnson, Executive Head of Direct and Digital at Old Mutual complete the conference line-up. All are engaging speakers who will address such key topics as data protection, POPIA compliance, and other current issues.

The DMASA’s virtual Insights Conference starts at 11am on Thursday, 25 March 2021 and DMASA members and non-members alike can register to attend this free event here: https://dmasa.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=36

the DMASA is recognised by the National Consumer Commission which enables it to manage consumer complaints within the direct marketing space on behalf of over 300 members. Since its 2005 founding, DMASA members have also benefitted from lobbying activities which have helped influence policy around integrated and direct marketing. To help ensure continued responsible access to consumers, the DMASA enforces its Code of Principled Marketing according to which all members must adhere, while also promoting data protection compliance and professional development through the DMASA e-Learning Academy.

Finally, the well-regarded Assegai Awards and many regular events like the annual Insights Conference cap the DMASA’s networking and knowledge-transfer activities.
